Hello,

I'm having a problem setting up my "new" 7300/180 to run OS 9.1 with
Multiple Users. I've reinstalled several times, with different
symptoms on each install:

(These symptoms appear when I log-out or restart)

All my users' desktop preferences revert to the 'Primary User' preferences

All my users' desktop preferences revert to default values

With my current installation I set up my users and prefs before I
upgraded from 9.0 to 9.1. Now they revert to those settings when I
log-out or restart.

I've set up two other Macs (well, this one's a Motorola clone) with
9.1. On both of them the problem showed up with 9.04 and went away
with 9.1.

I've searched all over the Apple website for a solution to this
problem with no result. I've also checked the Pickle's faq and
searched the message archive.

I picked this computer up at a university auction for $35 and
upgraded with 128 megs of ram, an XLR8 usb card and scroll mouse, and
a Seagate hd I pulled from a Quadra 900 I got in a previous auction.
I've removed the usb card and 2nd drive for diagnostic purposes.

I did a low level format on both drives and have zapped the pram repeatedly.

Can anyone help me here?
