Pam,

Do you have to do that evey time you start the computer? Whenever adding 
or subtracting something from the logic board itself you should push the 
CUDA button, but only when the computer is off. How much more memory did 
you add? If the RAM check is enabled it will take a minute +- to check 
that much during startup. Assuming 9.1 is like 8.6 in this regard, you 
can access the RAM check option by holding command-option while opening 
the memory control panel.

But if you're now getting freezes the memory itself is obviously 
suspect. What kind/size/arrangement of memory do you have installed? Do 
you have an upgrade card installed?
