I can't say I would sympathize that much with a tech support worker, but my wife works at a hospital, and in the past few years they've gone from WordPerfect 5.1 to WP 6.0 to MS Office and now to Office XP and some people still haven't gotten an upgrade past a 286. Trying to juggle a bunch of different Compaq boxes with different OSes doesn't sound like a sensible plan, but there you go.
