Arthur, David,
When Cox took my system some months ago, it was using Netscape 6.2 which
I liked. After the reformat, it came back with 4.7, the last version Cox
supported.

I downloaded 7. when it was released, it would not complete the install.
I did not know why, so I still use 4.7, and would prefer 7. Any clues?

Yesterday I tried to resolve the double message situation. I eliminated
a whole bunch of messages from my inbox, emptied the trash, ran Norton 6
from CD Disk Doctor and optimize. I have 2 internal and one external 4mg
2mg and 4mg. The internal 2mg will not let dick doctor end it's job,
freezes the computer and requires a force quit and restart.

I then ran Disk First Aid which found nothing wrong with that drive. For
good measure, I ran Tech Tool, ditto. It was that specific drive that
lead Cox to decide it was my "corrupt" system, and not Cox. Mad Macs
also found no problem with that drive, but reformatted the internal 4mg
start up drive. I do not know why it leaves Norton spinning its ball and
never completing, but it does.

To top it all off, I zapped pram and rebuilt desk top. Reinstalled the
printer driver, hope it finally works. So now where am I, still
receiving some of the messages duplicated.

Grrr,
Teresa
