I might do one someday. Probably after I have completely forgotten how much time and money I spent proving Apple wrong years ago. They said you couldn't build an 840 AV, which was state of the art at the time. I took that as a challenge and built one in an oversized PC case and even used a PC power supply mated to a Mac power connector plug. By the time I had finished, I had a custom top of the line 840 AV for about the same as I would have spent on a base model factory 840 AV. Unfortunately, right after I got it built, the PPCs debuted and the price drop for the 840s put mine at a higher cost than new! Mine did look cooler and had a much easier case to access with more expansion bays. (The 840 AV used the case later hated by 8100/8500 owners.) I'll probably try it when they stop bringing out new upgrades for my 8600.
