Once the computer is booted and both monitor and TV show,  open the Monitors
Control Panel. (Monitors and sound on older systems)  Click on the Arrange
icon.  A window with 2 monitors will appear.  Click and drag  the second
monitor on top of the primary monitor and you will get mirroring. (The
primary will have the Mac smiley face and menu bar displayed)
