VRAM differs from regular static RAM.  The maximum (and only VRAM that can
be used in the 8500)  are the 4 - 1 Meg VRAM DIMMs.  At least 2 are required
(2 Meg total) for any operation of the computer and 4 Meg is the Maximum.

If you want more, you have to use a PCI video card with the monitor
connected to the card. (This is also how you use multiple monitors with a
Mac. 1 monitor on the built in video and 1 via a video card.)
