Don�t know about the crashes - though I'd try trashing Finder and Mac OS
preferences in case it helped.

As for ISP info, I export my TCP/IP and Remote Access configs to my
documents folder (which I back up) and from the same place -
'Configurations' in the Control Panel's menu I can reimport them.
Sometimes this has also sorted screwy net connections even though all
information seemed to be entered correctly.

In case it ever helps anyone.
