Here's info I've gotten from a guy regarding the sapphire radeon cards. ---------------------------------------

I'm including the text file archives I have with this email (check this URL for the Stuffit archive). http://www.yottadot.org/sapphire/SapphireFiles.sit You can find a running message thread (quite long) here: <http://www.falkemedia.com/cgi-bin/forum/forum.cgi?board=hardware;action=dis play;num=1045243482;start=0> Some of these messages are what comprises my "additional info" file. I have the Sapphire/Radeon 32mb DDR card, and the only attempt I was able to make flashing the card on a PC was unsuccessful (I kept getting "ASIC not defined" errors). I _think_ that was because I was using the wrong "FLASHROM.ROM" file. I have since located other versions of this particular file, but haven't been able to get access to a PC with which to try it again. I got my Sapphire Radeon 7000 32mb DDR PCI card from newegg.com -- $44 includes shipping. If you search for one of these Sapphire cards, BE SURE it has "DDR" type RAM on it (not "SDR") and that it is a PCI card, not an "AGP" card. - John ---------------------------------------- Christian -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
