First I want to thank everyone for the helpful suggestions. I haven't tested them yet, but I will. I have one other problem that occurred at the same time as the one above. My Epson Stylus 740 printer started coming up with the message that it couldn't print because the printer was already in use. I tried reinstalling the driver with the software but this didn't help.
