Hello; The site you are looking for is
I have a hevily modified 8500 and I am concerned that I am running a risk of blowing a PS. It is currently packing 960 meg of ram, 2 cd drives internal, one internal 2 gig SCSI for startup purposes, 30,20 and 10 gig ATA hard drives, two monitors; in the PCI slots are a 4 port USB, a TwinTurbo for the second monitor and an ACARD ata card. These are all stuffed into an old PC full tower server case. I am also powering two fans in addition to the one in the power supply.
Am I running the risk of blowing the power supply? I have another 8500 PSU that I would like to mount in there, but to do so I would have to know what wire from the current PSU I would have to jump over onto the next PSU to get it to come on and go off with the original one. Apple's web site seems to be of no help.
In addition, there used to be a website out there somewhere that showcased odd custom instalations of macs like mine (I recall a 21-inch iMac and one made of legos). Does anyone remember this? Where has it gone?
Thanks, Rik
