External burners can be had for cheap.
But... Keep in mind that burned CDs degrade too. So make dups.

Iomega refurb USB external burners (48x I think) are going for $ 79. 95 at dartek.com and there are deals on media also. I just ordered one. it comes with Mac software. My Lexmark Z45 is from them too and is a great machine and a deal you won't believe. Just a happy Dartek customer passing it on.
