Occasionally I get a crash on my PM7200 OS 8.6, and Disk Doctor readily
finds & fixes it. It seems to be a b-tree problem in the directory.
Eventually it happens again & DD fixes it again.

Is this acceptable or should I do more? Is there a glitch in the HD where
the directory is stored, and should I move the directory somewhere else?
How would I do that?

Would DiskWarior fix this problem and is it worth it? Any ideas
appreciated. It's not a real problem yet.

DiskWarrior would be a better bet than DiskDoctor. The problems that you are having with the directory could be cause by flaky memory. Are you also having any programs freeze or just plain quit for no reason...?
