CompUSA has a SIIG USB 2.0, Firewire, 10/100 Ethernet PCI card on sale for $39.99. Has anyone looked at this thing or (gasp) tried it out?

I think the chances of it working in a Mac are pretty good, because none of those functions require on-the-card firmware. They're all driven by driver extensions in the OS.

So, assuming the USB chip is one of the supported ones for the Mac (probably only get USB 1.0), and the 10/100 is one for which there is a Mac driver, I think this card would work. I haven't heard that there are any Firewire chips that don't work with the Mac drivers. Are there?

Assuming it works, it seems like it would be a much better multi-function choice than the problematical Tempo Trio (assuming you need/want 10/100 ethernet).
