Well, I have an Epson 777 (USB) hooked to a 6500. When I "installed" it,
there was an option to "Share USB Printer." It is seen by all the other
Macs on the network on which I have installed the "USB Printer Share"
extension. Haven't tried installing software on my "token" 'doze box as
it sits next to an Epson 600 that has both serial and parallel ports. I
just hook both a Mac and a HP box to it.

Have you sought drives from Canon?

Ken
