I have run O.S. 9.2.1 on my PowerMac 6100/66 having a G3 MaxPowr 240Mhz. card.
Fresh install. Nothing ancient in it. 128MB of RAM. Ran excellently. Just slowly....

Are you saying it ran slowly all around or just for certain tasks. And what are they ?
How much OS overhead is shown in the About this Computer panel ? Do you have a lot of background tasks on startup ?
The earlier posts about how 9.2.2 is so much faster and better than 9.1 tempt me to get i. But others have said it is slower .
I guess there must always be trade offs , Or do there ? -- Adrian
