I would highly recommend iCab.. I use it on all my macs from my 280c running 7.6.1 to my 6500/250 (8.6) To my G3/300's ( OS 9.1, 9.2.1) It's fast, reliable and seems to render most all webpages correctly.. I can even have it identify as IE to check my bank accounts..
