My questions about power supplies is, do they go out abruptly or do they kind of flake out a little first? The only true hardware failure I have ever experienced was a monitor.
The failure of my AIO power supply started as an intermittent black outs and rapidly escalated to total failure. At the start the screen would seem to black out while the machine would run alright on an external monitor, but very soon the machine began having troubles booting or running for very long and then poof it was gone. Power supplies are difficult to locate and will cost more than a used AIO if found. I gathered from my reading that power supply failures were a common cause of death for AIOs. The power supply seems to be the one weakness in an otherwise excellent machine.
