Hey folks,

I'm not too familiar with SCSI's so bear with me here if my questions sound
a bit elementary. I have a 9500 and for the life of me I'm having headaches
trying to attach an 18GB hard drive (80pin w/a 50/60 pin adapter) to it.
This hard drive would be the only hard drive on the system. I also wanted
to attach a Toshiba 40X CD-ROM drive to it (50 pin).

First question:
I've read that SCSI devices need termination if they are the last one on the
"chain". So where on the ribbon is the last device? Is it the connection
closest to the motherboard connector (the one closest to the end that plugs
into the motherboard) OR is it the connector at the other end of the ribbon?

"The last one in the chain" applies to a series of external SCSI devices conected to the Mac's SCSI port. I know that that internal HDs (ID=zero) should be terminated since the opposite end of the chain needs termination too. As for various internal devices I'm not sure what to do and would like to know also.
