Hello all,

I've got this 7300/180 that I'm considering upgrading. Watching on the LEM
swap list and eBay I see there are a number of different PCI upgrade cards
available (different speeds, processors and manufacturers). Does anyone have
any recommendations? Like;

Don't bother with cards from XXXX because they're no longer supported or
crap out a lot.

Or

Cards in this range (xx MHz to yy MHz) are a good match for the capabilities
of the 7300 board, anything more is wasted $.

Suggestions?

I have a 7300 with an 8500 motherboard in it. It's CPU is a PowerLogix G3z minicard
with a ZIF socket and a G3 400 Mhz. CPU. Because it only has a 45 mhz. bus speed
it tops out at 298 mhz.

Speed not being everything, I like it better than my 9500 with the same card in it.

There's something flakey about my 9500, though.

As a good all-around computer, the 7300/8500 has decent performance for every
task I ask of it, including the light Internetting I do.

It runs O.S. 9.1 and I'm satisfied with it just having spent $30 for the CPU card and
$10 for the 8500 motherboard, and the 7300 being a $25 investment.
