I was recently given a 4400/200 that was minus a hard drive but apparently functional, and was debating whether to get it running or use it as some sort of donor to my running 7300/180.
Glancing over the specs: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac/stats/powermac_7300_180.html http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac/stats/powermac_4400_200.html Made me wonder if I might be able to use two of the 64meg DIMMS from the 4400 in the 7300, but upon further reading I've realized that the 4400's DIMMS are 3.3v and the 7300 takes 5+v. I seem to recall a discussion that these might work in the 7300. Any harm in trying? Anything else to be aware of? Thanks, David -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
