Problem:

Logitech USB Optical Mouse only has full functionality when hot plugged into
usb port. When I start up the computer "cold" the mouse only has one button
clickability (...is that a word?). If I pull the plug out and then plug it
back in "hot" with the computer on then the mouse works fine with all three
buttons and click wheel working as they should. I don't recall what kind of
USB PCI card I have in this 9600;I'm pretty sure it is the old standard 1.1
and the mouse behaviour is the same in both ports. OS8/9 Logitech software
seems to have installed correctly and computer seems stable otherwise.

I have the same problem and it comes and goes. Right now it is back and it really bugs me. I have the basic Logitech Optical Mouse, and have had the problem with their wireless mouse to making it generic across the line. I have not had time this week to try and debug it again.
