So, has anyone run across this problem? PowerRIP 2000 v.6 doesn't want to
quit. It closes it's window but stays in the menu bar and the application
menu. Doesn't crash, just won't go away. I can Force Quit, but that's not
really a solution I can live with forever. Have you ever had this problem
with an app?

I've tried starting without extensions, but that doesn't make any
difference. I've thrown away preferences, I've increased memory to the app.
I've reinstalled the core system. I've run Norton and Speed Disk. Nothing
has worked so far.

You don't mention re-installing the app...have you tried that? that's all that's really left. Are you printing to a USB printer? Try unplugging the printer before quitting. I would get a similar thing happening with an old Iomega USB CDRW; if I used the CDRW, then the system would hang at shutdown. Perhaps the printer isn't 'letting go'.

Have you contacted the folks who make PowerRIP?
