I pulled an Adaptec SCSI card from a Power Computing clone and plugged in my drives: a hard drive (bus 2, ID 1, OS 9.2.2) and a CD-ROM drive (bus 2, ID 3, terminating). Now the Mac can't find a startup disk. If I insert my OS 9.1 CD, it just hangs.

When I move the CD-ROM back to the onboard SCSI bus (bus 0, ID 3, terminating) it boots my OS 9.1 CD, but that hangs just after it begins to start up but before extensions load.

So, am I missing a step? How can I boot from a PCI SCSI card?
