Thanks to all.
Looks like if I get a daughter card with ZIF socket then I can use G3
and or G4 processors. For the money what is the best speed vs cost. Is
Mac OS X worth having and why. I like the fact that I don't need huge
drives and a complicated OS like windows. Looks like a 9 GB scsi drive
will be plenty. Anyone have a good used video card and daughter card
for sale?

The LEM swap list is a great source for parts.
A ZIF adapter card and G4 ZIF from the swap list should be quite affordable.
And prices on the higher end G4 cards have come down. Try OWC.
