A NEW ATI RADEON 7000 MAC 64MB DVI VGA TV PCI VideoCard will be coming to
me in the next week and hopefully I will be able to see my new 20" LCD
screen come to life at full res (1600x1200) on my 7600 Mac (a thing that it
is sadly unable to do on any of my old 8 meg video cards or on board with 4
vram). And thru the dvi port too.

I have had some conflicting advice about being able to run this on 9.1, some
saying it will be fine, others saying I will need to go to 9.2. How best to
get 9.2. Do i need to buy it or is it a free upgrade? (I know I need that
helper thing everyone talks about, I have that somewhere unused). I don't
want to move from 9.1 but i will do it if I have to for this screen.

(BTW, how come it runs so brilliantly at full res through the vga port on an
old compaq pc I have? Just like that! Pity that I truly and increasingly
dislike the 98 windows operating system on it... But gee, it looks good!)
