Hmm.. that's strange...

Well, for #1, maybe you can find an old IE CD or Earthlink CD that has IE
4.5 on it for Mac? I think IE 3.0 is too picky.

What is your ISP?

For #2, I dont use Claris Emailer... I used Outlook Express and it works
fine...

files I had to install from the OS CD. I forget the name of them and can't
look them up because I'm at the local library doing e-mail because I still
have problems. If you-all will allow me....

I've had it. On the OS CD were IE 3.0 and Claris E-mailer Lite. I've got 2
main problems:

loading the startup page and then abrubtly quit the program(sometimes it
will load the first one and then quit when loading the next selection), or
it will load OK, but any attempt to click in the file menu instantly causes
a quit. As soon as I can get this to work, I will download something more
up-to-date, but I've got to get it to run long enough to do that first.
> Actually, the first time I launced Explorer, I was able to go to the iCab
site and downloaded iCab. But when I decompressed iCab with MacLink Plus,
there was nothing inside the folder! I guess IE 3.0 just wasnt up to the
task?

connection. I have filled in all the information I could find places for in
Internet config, PPP and TCP/IP control panels, Emailer preferences, etc,
but telling it to make a connection (which is the only command I can find to
get it to send or check for mail) results in a little window saying it is
checking, but with no other evidence that anything happens.

internal modem card. It is in the comm slot and has a port that accepts a
phone plug. However, the modem control panel (OS 8.1) does not give me any
options except printer and modem ports, and the computer does not seem to
see this card. Any clues as to what I need to do to make this operational?
