Be nice if there was software to take stock of the termination set up on our
machines (at least when they are working well), to be able to know these
things without having to examine the CD phsically and look at its wiring or
read up on the tech specs for clues... AP tells you the IDs but not which
device is terminated.

Or even a simple physical test (multimeter or something else?)

Is there any software for such? I am imagining a graphic showing the chain
and the termination showing clearly.

It is not the best having to deduce things, having to be sensible and
careful, having to look carefully at the physical hardware...

Since a set up of mine in a 7300 was working well originally and I have
contuinually been swapping HDs in and out and not bothering about
termination on *them* I assume my CD is terminated ok. But I have not
actually examined it or read the specs on it. I have noted at times no
termination jumpers on various of the HDs I have used...
