I couldn't get a known "good" ADS USB card to work in a 7300/200
upgraded to G3 400 under OS9.1 (although I am sure it did so under
previously installations) until I installed the USB card support v
1.4.1 in OS 9.1. Really weird. I diagnosed it through the process of
elimination. I have no idea why it wouldn't work this time when it
was the same OS 9.1 install disk????

I have a Power Macintosh 7200/120 with 54mb of ram with a PowerPC

I wanted to add usb support so I could access my Canon SP200spx
and my
64mb thumb drive. After trying two diffent cards one from a store
that
said it would work on my computer I gave up. I was running OS 9 and
was wondering if there was some reason these old PowerMacs don't
support USB Cards or is there extra software I need.
Did you download and install Apples USB Drivers? Here is the page:

You need to install these in 8.6 and all versions of 9.
