Don't do this. You won't be able to boot from it.

And your 1G SCSI is too small altogether for the purpose really, you need a
bit of room on the Start up disk as many apps need it for scratch and such
purposes, they are even fussy. Just putting a bigger SCSI in on the existing
circuitry is easiest course. Partition it into 2 at least if it is an 18G
and transfer your stuff to it from the 1G. Keep the 1G as a volume to hold
the scratch for Photoshop or something like this, or for temporal back ups
of docs... Use one of the partitions on the big HD as startup.
