Okay, to rephrase, "you can always tell computer users who began and pretty
much stayed in Mac circles."

No technical person in the PC world says ATA, its IDE. And the transfer
speed is always refered to as UDMA66 etc, never ATA66. UDMA (Ultra Direct
Memory Access) is the name of the technology, not the type of disk
connection scheme. Just as CHS and LBA are too. I believe ATA refers to the
"standard" and not the actual implementation.
