Well, as USB 2.0 won't work unless you are running OS X on that poor
thing, you should be able to snag a card for a few $ at many places.

I got one at COMPUSA some years ago for $10.00 or so and thus would
expect them to be nearly free now. As I recall, you need to look
for one that is "OHCI" compliant and it should work with the Apple
drivers.

I expect that you will need to install "USB 1.4.1" from Apple
after the card is installed.
