Subject: [PCI] 6360 w/Ext. CD-ROM Sound Problem

Howdy..

I am having a problem with the Monitors & Sound Control Panel not
keeping settings.

I have a 6360, OS 8.5, used only to watch TV and play CD's.

I hooked up an external scsi CD-ROM to listen to cd's with. Also
connected RCA plugs from the cd-rom unit to the computer....

I went to the Monitors & Sound Control Panel to set the Sound
Monitoring Source to CD-TV-Video...Put in a CD and listened...all
ok...ejected cd and put in another cd....no sound...Sound Monitoring
Source changed to CD....

Opening the Apple Video Player resets the source to CD-TV-Video, sp
watching TV seems not to be a problem as far as sound goes...

Anyone have a solution?

TIA,

Ken
