I use a similar solution - I've got a PS/2 keyboard and mouse connected to an El-Cheapo (tm) KVM switch and then from the KVM switch I run the PS/2 cables to a PS/2 to USB convertor plugged into a USB card on my 9600... a very roundabout way of doing this, but it does work... the only problem is that I have to use my PC's rubbish keyboard rather than the Mac's wonderful Extended Keyboard II.
