If this is not supported by pcmanfm (which it seems) you could do 
something like this:

grep -h "^wallpaper=" ~/.config/pcmanfm/lubuntu/pcmanfm.conf | cut -d = -f 2

(You might have to adjust the path to pcmanfm.conf)
