As only minor issues were raised in the two weeks since 8.30-RC1 was put out (these have been fixed), I think it's time to let 8.30 loose on the world. So here it is:

This has caused quite a bit of reorganization and refactoring in the code. Many thanks to Zoltan Herczeg for doing most of this work.
