Tim, Is your modem working ok? Can you hear it when it dials
out to go online? If your modem has an external
speaker/speakerphone jack, you usually have to have speakers
or headphones connected to them to hear the phone dialer. If
the modem has an ON BOARD speaker, you should be able then to
hear the phone dialer then, so maybe try setting the volume
to max in the modem properties.

I am hearing handicapped and have trouble hearing anybody on
my regular
phone and would like to set up my phone dialer so I can
listen with my
headphones
and speak into the microphones without picking up my regular
phone...
