Steve should, he's a sharp guy. What is the exact URL of
the CC download? I'll give this a shot, thanks. Or will
just entering www.cometcursor.com block anything from their
sub pages, everything from their ENTIRE domain?

~ That last time comet cursor once again illegally was
~ installed on this PC and I didn't know about it, I got a
~ warning for it to 'access the web', and I of course then
~ said "NO", (then emailed the company again with a threat
of
~ a law suit :-)

There is something you can do to prevent CC from
downloading on your
computer.
Try entering the CometCursor site into your Restricted
Sites in your browser
security settings. (IE5.5: Tools/Internet
Options/Security/ and click on
the Sites button) Anything that comes from their site will
not be allowed
to download.
I tested it after doing so, and *tried* to download it, but
wasn't able to.

I also love using AdAware
(http://www.lavasoft.de/aaw/index.html) every few
days just to check if there is any spyware on my system.
The clean up part
is the best. The latest update as of 21 APR 01 now works
on Hotbar and
SaveNow.

Maybe we should all see if Steve Gibson
(http://www.grc.com) would come up
with a CometCursor prevention tool! :) I know he's given
Real Networks
hell.
