With Win95 (and 98) you can install directly from the CD (not the
restore as that will format the disk and you will loose everthing on the
disk).  By reinstalling into the same windows folder, you will retain
the settings, etc that you currently have.  At the same time, you shold
be restoring any bad or corrupt files and this may help to clearup your
problem.  I'm not sure why you say that Win98 won't work, as its still
in the same family of Dos based Windows.  With 90 mg of ram, this should
be adequate (not super but surely adequate) to run 98.  Be sure that you
run the scandisk and defrag before you reinstall to clear up any bad
spots or crosslinked files.
