ok....for anyone who is interested.....I just installed the new 4in1 updated
drivers and I tried copying some stuff from my CD drive to my hard drive
(which is what always crashed my Win 2k machine before) and it didn't crash
this time.......so, when I get a chance, I will try copying a larger
quantity of stuff and see how it does.......but, I'm optimistic that this
might have fixed my problem and maybe some of you others having probs with
this mobo might wanna try the updated drivers
