I think this will do it for you. if I understand what you want correctly.
The best part is that this is freeware and a very excellent program. The
program's name is Virtual Dub and avaliable here: http://www.virtualdub.org
One tip disable realtime protection when using Norton Antivirus otherwise it
takes this program forever to open. There is plenty of help at the site and
it does mention this in the FAQ. Another thing I would do is use a different
codec divx is very good. It is avaliable here, and free:http://www.divx.com/
the only problem is anyone that you send the movie to will have to have this
as well.
