To remove a password from the bios is a very easy process
1 Turn off the computer
2 Take out the power cable from the computer
3 Next to the Battery or very close by there is a jumper, move it to the
1-2 position, i.e. there are three pins and it sits middle and right
pin, move it to the middle and left pin
Leave for about 2 minuets then replace to original position
4 Replace power cable
5 Turn on computer

Purchased a system with a Socket 370 440ZX baby motherboard.
Cannot get to BIOS due to a unknown password.
How do I clear or work around this problem please?

There are utilities you can use to find the BIOS password.

Check out http://www.geocities.com/mbockelkamp/index.htm?win

You will find a util there in the Windows software section called
wbios12.zip
which claims to display information about the BIOS, including password
information.

There's also one on the DOS page called bios1351.zip which has more
comprehensive features.

Both are small downloads (30k and 125k respectively). I have downloaded
both but haven't had cause to use them yet, so cannot comment on their
effectiveness.
