Yes, but you may need to disable IRQ steering to get the ports switched and 
or shared.

MyComputer --> Control Panel --> Modems
Click Diagnostics tab
Shows which COM ports are being used by a modem

MyComputer --> Control Panel --> Printers
If a printer defind, right-click and select Properties tab
Click Details tab
Shows which Printer port is being used by a printer

AND

MyComputer --> Control Panel --> System --> Device Manger tab
Click "+" in front of Ports
Shows standard ports defined
If modem is on COM3 or COM4 it will not show here

AND

Start --> Run --> msinfo32
Click "+" in front of Hardware Resources
Click on IRQs
Shows all devices (attached or not) to all IRQs (0-15)

Click "+" in front of Components
Click on Ports (under Network)
Shows COM ports and printer ports (LPT)
