First, it takes a special parallel cable to move files between the two machines. Its called Direct Cable Connect (DCC). If you go to windows Help and use the keyword, Direct, it will give you the requirements for the cable and how to setup the system. I use it quite often to move files between my laptop and desktop machines. Its a bit of a worry to get it first started, but then very easy to use from there on.
