Peter, I am running two systems this way with
Win-ME on one, and with Win-2000 on the other.
In both instances I installed a larger and faster
HD as master,  and the original as slave. . .I think
this was your question

Does anyone know if you can move win2k from the master on the primary chain
to slave on the primary chain?
I am looking to install a hard drive as the new master whilst retaining
win2k on it's original drive as the slave.
