Thanks Keith

ORIGINAL: How does one add to the drop-down menu, "New" section.
Meaning, when one right-clicks on the desktop, one gets a drop-down menu
with many context options, "New" being one of them.

I inadvertently, maybe by playing with the registry (my latest passion),
lost all the lines except "folder" and "shortcut" ... how would I,
using the registry or by another means, add to that menu?

KEITH'S SUGGESTION: If you go to this site and then use your Ctl F to
search for New Menu you will find the registry fix for your problem ...
http://users.aol.com/axcel216/newtip13.htm#NEWMENU ... Its listed under
the Win95 section, but its the same for 98.

Thanks: I learned from your URL that my mistake was making some changes
using TweakUi in the "New" tab (had nothing to do with anything I did in
the Registry). Makes a big diffeence using the "Tweakie" and using the
Registry to add/remove items from the "New" menu. So here's to TweakUi,
and maybe Tweak 2000 and X-Setup, for making life easier on the
computer.

I would also suggest others go to the root of that URL; lots of good
information there. Thanks again.
