Hi All,
A little help in choosing DRAM ( SDRAM) memory is needed.
My motherboard handbook says to use 50 or 60 ns DIMM module DRAM
memory cards.
The manufacturers rate their cards at 133MHz and 266MHz.
Mathematics says that 50 ns equals 200Mhz. 75 ns equals 133MHz. 60
ns equals 166Mhz.
My system speed is 100MHz. ( with multiplier x4,5 for the processor,
AMD 450MHz.)
Currently I have two x 64MB SDRAM cards in place. I wish to upgrade to
256MB.
How do I tell how fast are the present two cards? How fast should
they be? I may have to purchase all new memory to achieve the maximum
speed? Pointers welcomed,
Regards, Pat Stevens.
