Normally I would agree with the statement that "you get what you pay for" but then again I'm cheap and always looking for "free" stuff. I can't say enough about AVG, it's amazing for a free program. McAfee, way back when, also used to be free. DataFellows still has a free F-PROT DOS program that is also a good program. Some people still subscribe to this idea, especially if you are a dedicated user who always updates their Windows programs.
