hi group.. I upgraded some machines to windows 2000 this week...one done as "clean install" over windows 98 allowed me to reinstall AOL and it worked . I am able to dial and connect fine.But when I try to install the online banking-- I keep getting "No carrier" messages. With a different machine- an upgrade over windows 98- I am installing the AOL for a first time and getting the "no carrier" message. I have checked the modem diagnostics and it is able to successfully query the modem on both machines..it is an onboard Rockwell "modem"...
