Hi all, I'm sure everyone is aware now of the discontinuation
of Yahoo email (as we know it). (That's not a surprise since
it was a HUGE SPAM magnet anyway. I use it for a backup
email address in the event of my domain email being down. I
never got anything sent to it but porn, credit card offers,
Viagra offers, etc). None the less, it is useful for my
customers if my main email is down.

Can Hotmail be setup this way, or is it still like it use to
be? I hated it when I used it because it had to have it's
own separate folder and it would open in Outlook Express with
a huge banner showing up at the bottom of OE that would slow
it down and crash it (always in my case at least).

So what are the alternatives for a free email program that is
NOT web based ONLY, and CAN be used in Outlook Express the
SAME way Yahoo email was? (Yahoo email can be downloaded
into your inbox the same way any of your other email would
be). It would of course need to have a POP3 incoming server
setting for an email program's use, and preferably an
outgoing SMTP as well. (I also need to know this for an
email list I am an admin for, since many of our members use
Yahoo email for it).
Thanks,
-Clint
